COURSE DESCRIPTION

 
This course emphasizes the development of the four skills of listening, speaking, reading and writing. At level one, students use simple words, expressions and structures to communicate in common, everyday situations. They will be able to formulate simple sentences using proper vocabulary and grammatical structures.
Some of the topics covered in French II: 
greetings / likes and dislikes / numbers / time / directions / agreeing / suggestions / ordering food and beverages / invitations / questions / descriptions / permission / phone calls / advice / clothing / family / sports / town / holidays.

COURSE OBJECTIVES

 
By the end of level one, students will be able to function well in present and near future tenses using simple everyday vocabulary. They will demonstrate knowledge about some of the cultural, social, and geographical features of francophone countries.
