COURSE DESCRIPTION

 
This course provides basic foundation knowledge of human anatomy and physiology of the ten body systems and their organs required for students in an allied health administrative curriculum. Understanding medical language will focus on learning the anatomy word roots/combining forms and common medical prefixes and suffixes. With knowledge of the word components, the student will be able to define and understand medical words including diagnostic, laboratory, and medical specialties.
